Guru Nanak Dev University College, Pathankot, established in 2016, is a constituent college of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Designated as a ‘MODEL COLLEGE’ by RUSA, the institution is committed to fostering a holistic academic environment, nurturing students in academics, sports, and cultural activities. Recognized under Sections 2F & 12B of the UGC Act, 1956, the college serves students from socio-economically diverse backgrounds, providing education at an affordable cost. Situated in a remote area with limited transport facilities, the college strives to bridge the rural-urban education gap. It hosts a vibrant NSS unit that engages students in community service and social awareness initiatives. Additionally, the Eco-Club promotes environmental consciousness through various awareness campaigns and activities. With a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including BA, B.Com, BCA, BSc (IT, Non-Medical, Medical, Fashion Designing, Computer Science, Economics), MA (English, Hindi, Punjabi), M.Com, MSc (Fashion Designing, Mathematics, Computer Science), the college aims to empower students with knowledge, skills, and values for their holistic development. Through seminars, workshops, extension lectures, and industrial visits, the college provides a conducive environment for students to excel in academics and co-curricular activities. Our mission is to shape competent graduates and postgraduates with creative skills, professional expertise, social awareness, and strong ethical values.
It is situated in the lush green surroundings of the countryside away from the city. It is located at village Lamini. It has a sprawling campus covering several acres of land.
The constituent colleges were set up to bring higher education within the reach of the people of remote rural areas, so that maximum benefit reaches the less privileged and the needy. The college will scale new heights under the able guidance of Dr. Karamjeet Singh, the present Vice-Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University.
The College is covered under the 2(F) & 12(B) scheme of the UGC. As a result, it is entitled to receive financial support from the Central government, the government of Punjab and the UGC. The teaching fraternity of college is highly qualified and dedicated who constantly strive for their growth as well as for the holistic development of their students.
